Welshmill Lane Playground

If you live in Frome and have kids, you probably already know this spot. The playground itself covers the basics well — swings, slides, a seesaw, climbing frame, and a sandbox that younger ones will happily disappear into for an hour. What makes Welshmill Lane worth the trip though is everything around it: a bike track, a skate park, and proper walking paths that follow the river and dip toward the woodland trails. Older kids and teens aren’t left twiddling their thumbs while the little ones play, which is rarer than it should be. Pack a lunch and make a proper afternoon of it.
