Right by the water in Gillingham, this spot does something a lot of local playgrounds don’t bother with — it actually splits things up properly, so the little ones aren’t getting trampled by the bigger kids. The sandbox is a solid hit with the under-fives, and there’s enough room overall that kids can genuinely run around without everyone being on top of each other. Worth knowing before you head over: there’s a parking fee, so bring some change. A decent shout for families with a mixed age range, from babies up to around 12.
