Haverhill Recreation Ground

If you’ve got kids under 12 and haven’t spent a summer afternoon here yet, you’re missing out. The splash pad is genuinely the highlight — it gets busy on hot days for good reason, and younger ones especially go absolutely feral for it. There’s a solid play setup too, with slides, swings, and a climbing structure that keeps older kids occupied while the little ones cool off. Plenty of picnic tables and open grass mean you can actually settle in for a few hours rather than hovering the whole time. Parking’s easy, loos are on-site, and the ground hosts local events through the year, so it’s worth keeping an eye on what’s on.
