Kids get a solid mix of kit — swings, a climbing frame, merry-go-round, sandpit, a play train, and a water feature that’ll soak your little one whether you planned for it or not. The enclosed area makes it genuinely easy to relax on the benches without constantly doing headcounts, and the shade trees are a godsend in summer. After they’ve burned off some energy on the open grass, it’s dead easy to extend the day with a canal walk, a duck-feeding session, or a cycle along the towpath — there are good cafes close enough to make the whole thing feel like a proper outing rather than just a quick trip to the swings.
