If you’re heading out to Kielder, this little play area is worth knowing about — it punches above its weight for such a quiet part of Northumberland. The zip wire tends to be the big draw for kids, but there’s also a solid lineup of swings, slides, and a roundabout to keep them busy. It’s fully enclosed, which makes a real difference when you’re trying to keep an eye on younger ones. Spill out through the gate and there’s a grass field right alongside with a basketball hoop and enough space for a proper kickaround. Not a bad stop if you’re exploring the reservoir or just need to burn off some energy before the drive back.
