Beaumont Park Playground

If you’ve got a toddler in tow and want somewhere that doesn’t feel like a wasted afternoon, this one’s worth the trip. The play area’s been updated recently and honestly it shows — the swings are a hit with the little ones, and it’s well-suited to the 1–6 crowd without being overwhelming. Pack a picnic, grab one of the tables, and let the kids run on the open grass while you actually enjoy being outside for once. The real draw for a lot of locals is the woodland trails that run through and around the park — proper scenery, not just a car park with some equipment. Parking’s free too, which always helps.
