Martello Lakes Play Park

Tucked alongside the lakes just outside Hythe, this one earns its reputation mostly for where it sits rather than what’s in it. The views across the water are genuinely worth the trip, especially on a clear day when you can see right out toward the coast. It’s a decent enough spot for families to stretch their legs and let kids run about. One local tip though — skip it after heavy rain unless you don’t mind muddy boots, because the ground gets pretty soggy.
