Ferrybridge Playground

It’s nothing fancy, but Ferrybridge does the job — especially if you’re passing through on the A162 and need somewhere the kids can burn off some energy. The enclosed area is a genuine plus, with the usual setup of swings, slides, a climbing frame, and a roundabout that’s seen better days if we’re being honest. The new football pitch is probably the biggest draw these days, and the changing facilities make it actually usable for a kickabout rather than just a kickabout. Bring the dog — plenty of people do, and the enclosed space makes it less stressful than an open park. Could do with some fresh equipment in the play area, but for a quick stop it works fine.
