Tatton Park

If you’re anywhere near Knutsford and haven’t spent a full day here yet, you’re genuinely missing out. The maze is a proper highlight — kids and adults both get competitive about it — and there’s enough open grass to just throw down a blanket and decompress for a few hours. The estate backs onto woodland trails and sits near the lake, so the walking is actually decent rather than just a token path around a car park. Deer wander through like they own the place, which honestly they probably think they do. Pack a picnic, use the tables, and give yourself more time than you think you’ll need.
