Ringmer Green (village green)

The refurbished play area on Ringmer Green is genuinely one of the better spots in the Lewes area — fenced, clean, and actually well thought out. Kids get swings, a climbing structure, a merry-go-round, and a water feature, so there’s plenty to keep different ages busy at once. The duck pond is right there, which sounds like a small thing but honestly makes the whole visit feel more like a proper afternoon out than just a playground trip. Picnic tables, benches, parking, and loos all sorted — parents aren’t left scrambling. On a quiet weekday it’s lovely, and the open grass field means older kids aren’t stuck fighting for equipment the whole time.
