The Cove Playground

Greenwich Park’s maritime playground is a proper little find — the boat-shaped climbing structure gives it real character, and kids between 2 and 10 tend to go absolutely feral for the slides and climbing frames in the best possible way. It’s fully enclosed, which means you can actually sit down on one of the benches without doing that anxious head-swivel every 30 seconds. The shaded seating is a genuine bonus in summer, and the open grass field nearby gives older ones room to burn off whatever energy the climbing didn’t sort out. You’ve got forest trails close enough to tack on a proper walk if the family needs it, and being in Greenwich means the Maritime Museum is practically on your doorstep for when the playground loses its appeal. A solid local option that earns its reputation.
