Adventure playground

Morpeth’s Adventure Playground is one of those places locals actually return to rather than just ticking off a list. The equipment is genuinely varied — there’s stuff for little ones and older kids too, so nobody’s standing around bored while their sibling has all the fun. The den-building area is a proper highlight; kids can mess about constructing their own huts, which keeps them occupied far longer than any standard climbing frame would. There’s a seasonal cafe on site, which is handy when you’ve underestimated how long you’d be staying — and you will underestimate it.
