If you haven’t taken the kids to Salhouse Broad yet, you’re genuinely missing out on one of the better afternoons Norwich has to offer. The playground has a climbing structure, slides, and a water feature to keep little ones busy while the grown-ups sort out kayak hire or just wander the lakeside trails. It’s proper countryside — forest paths, open grass, and that broad stretching out in front of you. Pack a picnic or grab something from The Hungry Otter, because once you’re there you won’t want to leave quickly. Parking, loos, and picnic tables mean you can actually relax rather than spend the whole visit logistics-wrangling.
