Calverton Play Park

Decent-sized park that genuinely works for families with kids of different ages, which isn’t as common as you’d think around here. The open grass field gives little ones room to actually run about rather than being crammed into a tiny fenced-off corner. There’s a cafe on site, so you’re not rationing snacks from a bag you packed at 7am, and the toilets are clean and actually accessible — a bigger deal than it sounds when you’ve got young kids in tow. It’s the kind of place where you can easily burn a couple of hours without planning ahead.
