The Embankment Children’s Paddling Pool

On a hot day in Nottingham, this place basically saves lives — parents included. The paddling pool is the main draw for the little ones, and it does exactly what you need it to do when the city gets sticky in summer. There’s also a decent bike track on site, which is genuinely useful if you’ve got a kid who’s still figuring out two wheels. Restrooms are nearby, and if the ice cream van is parked up, you’re sorted for the whole afternoon. Good for kids roughly 2 to 11, and honestly one of the better free options along the Embankment.
