Camber Playground

Just down from the beach, this little playground punches above its weight for the under-8s. The pirate ship is the obvious crowd-pleaser — slide, rope ladder, the works — and it keeps younger kids busy for longer than you’d expect. Swings are well sorted too, with bucket seats for babies, standard swings, and one of those big round net swings that the slightly older ones go mad for. It’s kept in genuinely decent shape, which isn’t always a given round here, and there’s a field right next to it when they need to burn off whatever energy they’ve got left.
