Macklin Road playground

The play train is genuinely the star here — kids absolutely lose it for that thing, and it’s one of those features you don’t see at every park. There’s a solid setup of swings and a seesaw alongside it, so siblings of different ages can usually find something to keep them busy. Being enclosed makes a real difference if you’ve got younger ones, since you’re not constantly chasing them toward the road. The surrounding neighbourhood is pretty quiet, which means it never feels overwhelming, and the open grass gives older kids room to burn off energy once they’ve done the rounds on the equipment. Good shout for anything from toddlers up to about 12.
