Wincombe Play Area

Wincombe is honestly one of the better spots in Shaftesbury for keeping kids of different ages happy at the same time. The zipline gets a lot of attention — rightfully so — and there’s enough other equipment, slides, swings, climbing frame, that younger ones aren’t just waiting around for a turn. The enclosed section means parents of toddlers can actually relax a bit rather than hovering the whole time. Beyond the play area you’ve got a basketball court, a soccer field, and open grass that gives older kids room to properly run around. Street parking nearby keeps it straightforward, and the walking path makes it worth a longer visit if the weather’s on your side.
