Bayston Hill Playground

Tucked into the Bayston Hill village area just south of Shrewsbury, this playground punches well above its weight for a local park. The enclosed fencing and secure gate make it genuinely stress-free if you’ve got a bolter on your hands — you can actually sit on the bench and relax. Kids get a solid mix of slides, swings, and a climbing structure, plus a little maze that tends to become the main event for the 4-7 age group. The astro turf pitch with a basketball hoop is a nice touch, and there’s plenty of open grass for the ones who just want to run laps. Realistically best suited to under-10s, but it’s one of the better-equipped spots in this part of Shrewsbury.
