Country Recreation Ground Frankwell

Just across the river from the town centre, this recreation ground is one of those spots that somehow stays off most people’s radar. The play area has slides, swings, and a climbing structure — nothing flashy, but genuinely well looked after, which isn’t something you can say about every park in Shrewsbury. The grass gets properly mowed, the equipment isn’t battered or neglected, and the whole place just feels calm. Good open field too if the kids need a run around after. Honestly, it punches above its weight for how quiet it stays.
