Knebworth House

If you’re going to make a day of it, Knebworth is hard to beat — the adventure playground alone keeps kids busy for hours, with a zipline, climbing structure, slides, tunnels, and a water feature that’ll probably soak at least one of yours. The whole thing sits right on the edge of woodland, so there’s proper shade and space to spread out, and the open grass field means younger ones have room to just run. Picnic tables, clean loos with baby changing, and plenty of parking make the logistics pretty painless. The Dinosaur Trail through the grounds is genuinely well done — not just a few signs, the kids actually get into it. Between the gardens, the historic house, and the playground, you’ll easily fill a full day here without anyone complaining they’re bored.
