Salt Pig the Farm – Putlake

If you’ve got little ones under five, Salt Pig is genuinely one of the best low-key days out near Swanage. The animal feeding is the real draw — kids go absolutely mad for the piglets and young goats, and the staff are brilliant about letting them get properly involved rather than just watching from a distance. There’s a sandbox to keep the younger ones busy, plus indoor soft play when the weather does what Dorset weather tends to do. Grab something from the café while the kids run themselves ragged — the food’s decent and you won’t feel rushed out the door.
