Honestly, it’s pretty straightforward — an open grass field where kids can just run around and do their thing without any structured equipment getting in the way. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need, especially if you’ve got a dog in tow or a group of kids who just want to kick a ball about. Tavistock itself is a decent enough town to explore alongside a visit, with the market and the river nearby. Don’t come expecting slides or swings, but for a free outdoor space to burn off some energy, it does the job.
