Wantage Leisure Centre

The pool here is properly heated — none of that teeth-chattering nonsense you get at some leisure centres — and the lanes are wide enough that you’re not constantly bumping into someone doing breaststroke at half your speed. Staff are genuinely decent, the kind who actually notice if you look lost rather than just staring at their clipboards. Changing rooms are clean and well-maintained, which honestly isn’t a given around here. Good for families, older swimmers, anyone really — it draws a mixed crowd and handles it well.
