Right on the shores of Windermere, this place is genuinely one of the better family days out in the Lakes — and locals know it. The zipline gets kids absolutely hooked, and the water feature keeps the younger ones busy long enough for you to actually sit down at a picnic table and breathe. You’re paying for entry, but with the lake views, forest trails on the doorstep, and staff who clearly enjoy being there, it feels worth it. Shade trees, decent parking, toilets that aren’t grim — the basics are covered. Brings the 3-to-11 crowd together without anyone moaning they’re bored.
