Dinton Pastures Country Park

The play area here is properly enclosed, which matters when you’ve got little ones who like to bolt — and with the lake so close by, you’ll appreciate that fence more than you think. There’s a decent mix of slides, swings, and climbing gear that keeps kids from 1 to 12 occupied long enough for you to actually sit down on one of the benches. Shade trees dotted around make summer visits genuinely comfortable, and the picnic tables mean you can make a proper afternoon of it rather than rushing off. When the kids are done with the play area, the walking paths around the water and the open grass fields give everyone room to stretch out. Toilets on site, parking sorted — it’s one of those places locals keep coming back to without really needing a reason.
