Locals know this one’s a decent shout if you’ve got kids who want a kickabout — the football pitch gets good use on weekends and there’s actually proper parking right there, which makes a difference. The picnic benches mean you can set up properly rather than eating off your lap on a patch of grass. It’s a solid all-ages spot with enough going on to keep everyone reasonably happy for a few hours.
