Bishopton Playing Fields (The Thistle)

Locals just call it The Thistle, and honestly the football pitch is the main draw here — it gets proper use on weekends with kids’ matches and the occasional adult kickabout. There’s plenty of open grass beyond the marked field too, which is great if you just want to let younger ones run without worrying about traffic. It’s a no-frills kind of spot, but that’s fine — Bishopton’s a village, not a theme park. Bring a ball and you’re sorted.
