The Crannog

If you’re local to Coatbridge, you probably already know how good this one is — but it deserves more credit than it gets. Built around the theme of an ancient crannog settlement, the wooden climbing structure and zipline feel right at home beside the loch, and the whole setup has a genuinely wild, outdoorsy feel rather than the usual plastic-and-tarmac situation. There’s a water feature the kids will gravitate toward instantly, plus loads of open grass for running off steam. Picnic tables, parking, and decent walking paths round it out nicely, and the birdwatching along the water’s edge is a genuine bonus if you can drag the kids away long enough to look up.
