Mugdock Playground

Mugdock Country Park is worth the trip out from Glasgow on its own, but the playground makes it a proper full-day thing. You’ve got slides, swings, and a solid climbing structure that keeps kids busy long enough for you to actually sit down and enjoy the surroundings — grab one of the picnic tables and you’re sorted. The setting does a lot of the heavy lifting here, with forest trails right on the doorstep and that classic Scottish woodland feel all around you. It’s well looked after too, which isn’t something you can say about every council playground. Honestly one of the better options if you want fresh air and something for the kids that isn’t just a sad single swing in a car park.
