Queen’s Park Playground (South)

The south playground in Queen’s Park is pretty low-key, which honestly suits the under-5 crowd just fine. There’s a sandbox and a water feature to keep the wee ones entertained, and the shade trees mean you’re not completely roasting on a rare sunny Glasgow day. Don’t expect a huge setup — equipment is limited, but that’s kind of the point. The open grass nearby is great for a kickabout or spreading out a picnic blanket, and the park itself draws a decent dog-walking crowd so it’s got that relaxed, neighbourhoody feel. A solid option if you’ve got a toddler and you’re after somewhere that isn’t completely mental on a weekend.
