Kidston Park Playground

Honestly, this is one of the better spots in Helensburgh for a proper family afternoon out. The playground itself is fully fenced, which makes a real difference when you’ve got little ones who like to bolt — and with kids from around 2 to 10 well catered for, the slides and climbing structure keep them busy long enough for you to actually sit down. There’s a merry-go-round too, which always seems to pull the biggest crowd. The views over the water are genuinely lovely, and the walking path means you can stretch your legs once the kids have burned off some energy. Chuck in a cafe, picnic tables, and decent parking, and it’s hard to argue with it as a family day out.
