Hope Play Park

Honestly one of the better-kept play parks on Orkney for the really little ones — we’re talking properly suited to the 2 to 5 age group, not just in theory. It’s clean, which sounds like a low bar but isn’t always a given, and there are picnic tables and benches so you can actually sit and have a coffee while the kids do their thing. Free parking right there makes it easy for a spontaneous visit without the usual faff. A solid local option if you’ve got toddlers to tire out.
