Tucked into one of Peterhead’s quieter corners, this is the kind of spot locals actually use rather than just drive past. The enclosed play area keeps the little ones contained while you actually get to sit down at a picnic table for five minutes, and the shade trees make summer visits far more bearable than you’d expect in this part of Scotland. Swings cover the younger kids well, and there’s enough open space on the football pitch to keep older ones from getting bored. The walking path around the area is decent for a post-lunch lap if you’ve got a buggy or just need to stretch your legs.
