Kirktown Garden Centre

Kirktown’s a proper wee gem if you’ve got kids in tow — there’s a solid little playground out front with a climbing structure and slide that’ll keep them busy while you browse the plants. The garden centre itself is genuinely good quality, not just the usual overpriced tat, and the staff actually know their stuff and don’t make you feel daft for asking questions. The restaurant’s had a recent revamp and it shows — decent food, proper portions, the kind of place you’d actually choose to have lunch rather than just defaulting to because you’re already there. Parking’s easy enough too, which makes the whole trip pretty stress-free.
