Right in the heart of Ponty, this place gets busy on weekends for good reason — the zipline alone keeps kids occupied for ages, and the tunnels and sandbox give the little ones plenty to get stuck into. It’s a solid spot for anywhere between toddlers and older kids up to about 12, with swings and slides rounding out the kit nicely. The river setting makes it feel a bit less like a standard urban park, and you can stretch your legs on the walking path or let them loose on the open grass when they need to burn off steam. Basketball courts are there if the older ones get bored of the play area, and the toilets are on site which — if you’re a parent — you already know is non-negotiable. One of the better all-round family parks in the valleys, honestly.
