Akiachak School Playground

Out here in a village of a few hundred people along the Kuskokwim River, the school playground is genuinely one of the main spots kids have to burn off energy. It’s on school grounds, so it’s easy to find and familiar to most families in town. Not a lot of frills, but in a place like Akiachak, that’s not really the point — it’s about having somewhere close by where kids can just be kids.
