Forsythe Park

If you live on the east side of Anchorage, you probably already know about this one — and you’re probably not eager to share it. The walking path winds close to the trees, and in fall especially, it’s the kind of place that makes you remember why you chose to live here. There’s a slide and some picnic tables with decent shade, so it works fine for families, but honestly the real draw is just being outside in a quiet spot that doesn’t feel overrun. Dogs are welcome, and you’ll see plenty of them on any given afternoon. It’s not flashy, but it’s the kind of park you come back to every season.
