Right next to the elementary school in St. Mary’s, this playground is pretty much the go-to spot for local kids to run around and blow off steam. It’s one of those places where you’ll actually see children from the neighborhood mixing with kids from families staying at the nearby lodges. Not a lot of options for outdoor play in this part of Alaska, so the community genuinely relies on it. Worth knowing about if you’re passing through or settling in around here.
