If you live out in the Meadow Lakes area, this is genuinely one of the better spots to burn off some energy with the kids. The enclosed play area is a lifesaver — you’re not constantly chasing toddlers toward the parking lot, and the sightlines are solid enough that you can actually sit down for a minute. There’s a climbing structure, basketball court, soccer field, and a walking path that edges close enough to the treeline to feel like you’re actually in Alaska and not just some generic park. Picnic tables, shaded seating, clean restrooms — it’s all there, and it stays pretty quiet compared to spots closer to town. Families with kids anywhere from 2 to 12 will find something here, and honestly the lack of crowds on a weekday afternoon is half the appeal.
