Cave Creek Regional Park Playground

If you’re going to drag kids out to Cave Creek for a hike, this playground makes for a solid reward. The equipment leans hard into the desert theme — we’re talking a scorpion slide and a cactus balance beam, not just the usual generic stuff you see everywhere else. There’s a full roof over the play area, which honestly makes all the difference out here when it’s 95 degrees before noon. The swings face out toward the mountains, so the view is actually worth looking at while you’re pushing. Toddlers through early elementary kids all seem to find something to do, and the whole setup stays noticeably clean compared to a lot of other spots in the valley.
