Maxwell School Soccer Field – RC Glider & Electric Flying on Weekends

If you haven’t stumbled onto this spot yet, it’s one of those low-key Tucson gems that locals actually use. The open grass field is solid for pickup soccer or just letting kids run, but the real draw on weekends is watching RC gliders and electric planes buzz around overhead — genuinely entertaining even if you didn’t come for that. It’s flat, accessible, and easy to get to from most parts of town. Nothing fancy, but that’s kind of the point.
