Monahan Playground

Tucson locals know Himmel Park is one of the better spots on the east side, and the playground here is a solid reason families keep coming back. It’s right next to the Himmel Park Library, which makes it easy to kill a whole morning — books, then outdoor time, done. The Tennis Center is just steps away, so if you’ve got a kid who wants to hit balls while another one plays, you’re covered. It gets warm out here like anywhere in Tucson, so earlier in the day is smarter, especially in summer.
