Playground of Dreams

This castle-themed wooden structure has been a Benicia staple for years, and honestly, it holds up. Kids get genuinely into the whole fortress vibe — there’s enough going on with the climbing to keep toddlers and older kids both occupied without anyone melting down in ten minutes. The enclosed play area is a real plus if you’ve got runners. Pack a cooler, because the BBQ and picnic tables make it easy to turn this into a full afternoon — the shade trees actually do their job, which isn’t something you can say about every park in town. It’s a quiet neighborhood spot, nothing flashy, but that’s kind of the point.
