Glacier Lodge

Honestly, Glacier Lodge is more of a basecamp for hitting the trails into the John Muir Wilderness than a spot you’d bring kids specifically to play. The real draw here is the access to the Big Pine Creek canyon and the glaciers beyond — it’s rugged Eastern Sierra territory. If you’re camping here with little ones, expect them to entertain themselves with the creek, the rocks, and the kind of wide-open outdoor freedom that beats any playground. Just don’t show up expecting equipment or a designated play area.
