Indian Flat Day Use

If you’re heading into Yosemite and want to stop somewhere the crowds haven’t completely taken over, Indian Flat is worth knowing about. It’s a simple day-use spot just outside El Portal with picnic tables, BBQ grills, and a big open grass field where kids can actually stretch their legs after a long drive. No playground equipment, but honestly the forest trails nearby do a better job of wearing out little ones anyway. Good for all ages, and way less chaotic than anything inside the park gates.
