Good shade trees, picnic tables, and actual parking make this Atlantic Ave spot one of the more practical family stops in Fairfield. Kids from toddlers up to about 12 get plenty to work with — slides, swings, a seesaw, climbing structure, and one of those merry-go-rounds you don’t see everywhere anymore. Parents can keep eyes on the kids without having to hover, which is a real plus. The open grass field and walking path give everyone a reason to stick around longer than planned.
