Right next to the reservoir, this fenced-in spot is one of the better-kept secrets in Lafayette for families with little ones. The climbing structure has enough going on to keep kids genuinely busy — good handholds, interesting angles, the kind of thing that actually challenges them. Younger kids (we’re talking 2-5) have their own dedicated area so they’re not getting steamrolled by bigger kids, which parents around here really appreciate. Shade trees and covered seating mean you can actually hang out without roasting, and the picnic tables make it easy to pack a lunch and stay a while. Parking is right there, restrooms are on-site, and the walking path around the reservoir gives adults something to do while the kids burn off energy.
