The tall tower and tunnel slide here are legitimately the highlight — kids who’ve outgrown the little-kid stuff finally have something that actually challenges them. It’s a solid spot for older school-age kids and teens, especially with the basketball court right there when they’re done on the climbing structure. Plenty of open grass means you can spread out a picnic without fighting for space, and parking is genuinely easy, which isn’t something you can say about a lot of LA parks. Locals from Highland Park treat this place like a real community hangout, not just somewhere to kill an hour.
