Henningsen Lotus Park Playground

If you haven’t been out to Lotus yet, this park is worth the drive. The shade trees actually do their job here — you can sit and watch the kids on the swings and slides without baking in the sun, which isn’t something you can say about every El Dorado County park. There’s a water feature the little ones go nuts for, plus a soccer field and open grass if your crew needs to burn off serious energy. The trailhead access is a big bonus — you can sneak in a short hike while older kids roam the field. Restrooms are clean, parking is easy, and the pond nearby makes the whole place feel less like a typical park and more like an actual destination.
